Share, Share, Bike Share

Well, there's no 'I' in 'team', but there is a 'Go' in 'group'...and 'pour' for that matter....i don't know what that has to do with anything, but i figured i'd share. So as a group, we worked together to produce an ad campaign for the Bikeshare project (RIP bikeshare Toronto).

As a group, Annie, Ashley, Rachelle, and I came up with a campaign comprised of stickers, bus wraps, and posters. We came up with the idea of a tandem bike to represent the basic ideas of sharing and community, but we each took the idea and went off in our own direction with it.

11" x 25", mixed media on paper

I wanted to go with more of a feeling than outright showing what i wanted to say with this...
Marco raised a few valid questions

-is the bear Jewish?
-Will any of the other animals be wearing clothing?

and sort of put it in my head that my mantra should be "like a good documentary, it should raise more questions than answers."

I'm a particularly fond of the koala...i think his goggles are quite sharp.

I think of how long you must have spent painting that bike and my stomach hurts.

You should go into the business of painting koalas riding bicycles and other forms of transportation.
I alone would probably keep you in business, you know.

A jewish Bear? Makes you think doesn't it? Was Rupert Jewish? He wore clothes. So did Paddington Bear. Definately a question for the ages.

Big ups though. You are really developing a good relationship between a painterly touch and deep graphic elements. Very sharp my friend.
